On Saturday, October 16, 2010 Oracle Band will be performing outdoors at the Canton Harvest Festival sponsored by FutureCare.  The band will start at noon and play until 4:00.

This will be our fourth year performing at the fun event that is open to all ages.  The event is completely free to attend.

There are lots of activities for the kids, including moon bounces, face painting, and pony rides, as well as a scarecrow making session.

There are also booths for health screenings, blood pressure checks, and child ID kits.

The food is scrumptious, featuring pit beef, Italian Sausages, and hot dogs and burgers, as well as lots of other unique items.  The food prices are quite reasonable as well.

Another highlight from past years' events were appearances by mascot bird from the Baltimore Orioles.  Hatched at the old Memorial Stadium on April 6, 1979, the bird will turn 31 this year!  Considering that his diet consists mainly of bird seed and crab cakes, he's looking pretty good for his age, and definitely commands attention when he arrives!

In the event of inclement weather the event WILL go on as planned, but many of the activities will move indoors.  This was the case last year, and despite some cold toes and slightly soggy socks on our part the event came off smoothly.

One word of advice regarding parking in the area.  There are no parking lots nearby to the facility...it is all street parking on a first come first served basis.  Although the vast majority of the parking is free, we do recommend that you come with the expectation that you're probably not going to find a spot right next to the facility.
