Are you ready to get dressed up and head out for a night of great dancing?  If so, we've got the party for you!

On Saturday, November 23rd Oracle will be performing at a Holiday Party Dinner / Dance sponsored by the Club Crabtowne, formerly known as the Crabtowne Skiers. 

The dance will be held at the Annapolis Elks Lodge #622 on Solomons Island Rd in Annapolis.  The hors d'oeuvres and dinner start at 7:00 and go to 8:30, when the band will kick off the dancing all the way up to midnight.

The dance is open to the public...you do not have to be a member of Club Crabtowne to attend this function. 

So, you might ask, what the heck is "Club Crabtowne", and what makes this dance different from all the others?  We're so glad you asked!!!

Club Crabtowne (Formerly Crabtowne Skiers)

They may have started out as a simple group of folks that liked to go out skiing, but the club has definitely evolved since it's inception in 1971.  Today they are a vibrant group of individuals whose interests span a wide variety of activities. 

Not just a ski club, they also sponsor activities including watersports (boating, canoeing, swimming, skiing), biking, hiking, pub nights, parties, hot air ballooning, cultural events, and last but certainly not least, DANCING!

About The Dance

Singles as well as couples are very welcome to attend.  For singles there will be "friends tables" set up to keep everyone actively engaged. 

Here's the really cool twist.  As we hop into Mr. Peabody's "way-back machine", there will be "Dance Cards" for the ladies!  This throwback to the balls of the 19th century, and even as late as the 1940s big band dance hall days, allow the ladies to ask anyone they want to dance with them.  There will be 10 of these special dance card songs spaced evenly throughout the evening.

The dance floor area at Annapolis Elks is quite spacious.  Both ballroom dancers and freestylers will have more than enough room to enjoy themselves.

Attire will be classy and dressy.  Gentlemen are requested to wear at least a jacket and tie, tuxedos are optional.  As for the ladies, well...dress to impress!  Let's have some fun!

Ticket Information

Ticket price has yet to be announced, but we'll update as soon as we hear.  You must be 21 or older to attend.

The Annapolis Elks Lodge is located just off Aris T. Allen Blvd near Route 2.  It is very easy to get to.
